    Friday, September 11

    A night of high-speed, gravity-defying racing at Ohio's only velodrome complex.

    Nestled in Cleveland's historic Slavic Village - just a short drive from The Hub at Edgewater Park - the Cleveland Velodrome opened in August 2012 and has featured constant racing throughout the summer months ever since.

    Since its NEOCycle, the Velodrome features both the high speed action on the track and great food and drinks in the infield for all spectators.

    Teaming with Spin Bike Shop, NEOCycle features an exhilarating Cyclocross race at Edgewater Park in the Cleveland Metroparks Lakefront Reservation.

    The race course encircles and travels through all the action at The Hub, while challenging riders with the natural obstacles of Edgewater Park and some unique man-made surprises as well. 

    Surrounding the action is all the energy, live music and spectators of The Hub, making the NEOCycle Cyclocross a can't-miss event.

    Getting to Edgewater Park

    Due to ongoing construction, the Memorial Shoreway eastbound exit ramp to Edgewater Park will be closed during NEOCycle. The Lake Avenue entrance ramp to the Memorial Shoreway will also be closed. Please see the maps below for detour information.

    Parking will be limited at Lower Edgewater Park on Saturday - especially later in the day. Please consider biking to Edgewater Park or parking in the surrounding neighborhoods and accessing the park via the W. 65th St. pedestrian tunnel, W. 76th St. pedestrian tunnel or Upper Edgewater Park.

    Race & Ride Check-In/On-Site Registration

    When you arrive at Edgewater Park please proceed to the Check-in/On-Site Registration tent to sign the necessary waiver and collect your official bib number and any ride giveaways.

    Leaving from The Hub at Edgewater Park, the Night Ride presented by Cuyahoga Community College offers riders the unique experience of biking with over 2,000 other glowing cyclists on a route featuring spectacular sunset and night time views of Downtown Cleveland and Lake Erie! Be a part of Cleveland's most exciting and unique cycling event.

    This safe, fun ride is open to riders of all skill levels and ends back at The Hub, where the party really gets going with the headlining act of the NEOCycle Music Fest.

    Night Ride Rules of the Ride

    In accordance with state law, lights (rear and front) are required to be illuminated after dusk. Additionally, all Night Ride participants are required to wear a helmet. The first 2,250 Night Ride participants will receive a tube wrap bike light as part of their registration. Several area bike shops will be on-site selling additional lights and helmets.

    Route Information
    The Night Ride will once again feature Cleveland's Memorial Shoreway! The course is 8.75 miles in length and offers spectacular views of downtown Cleveland and Lake Erie! So take your time and enjoy Cleveland's most unique cycling experience!
     


     

     

  • The MCPc Fundo presented by Bike Cleveland
    Sunday, September 13

    NEOCycle's unique twist on a gran fondo, the MCPc Fundo presented by Bike Cleveland is an untimed, mass ride starting and ending at The Hub at Edgewater Park. Cyclists of all levels can participate in rides of 10, 32 and 62 miles. Each route features rest stops in unique and beautiful Cleveland neighborhoods and parks.

    The Fundo is a fully supported ride with multiple rest stops along the route and SAG vehicles to help with gear and other issues.

    The end of the ride features all the action of The Hub at Edgewater Park, with beer, food and live music all afternoon.

    Proceeds from the Fundo benefit Bike Cleveland, enabling continued advocacy for safer streets across Greater Cleveland.

    Course Announced in early August

     

    Fly through the streets of Battery Park, just a five minute walk from the action of The Hub at Edgewater Park! In partnership with Case Cycling, the 2015 Criterium will feature thousands of dollars in primes and great merchandise prizes!

    A fast-paced race on a course of closed-off city streets, Criterium races last for a designated length of time, with bonuses paid for leading specific laps during the race.

    NEOCycle is proud to partner with NALU SUP & Surf to offer a full slate of stand up paddleboard races and demos all weekend long! All races and demos will be held in beautiful Lake Erie and start from The Hub at Edgewater Park.

    Saturday, September 12  |  1 - 3 p.m.
    2 mile, 4 mile and 1 mile kids race
    Course: 1 mile out-and-back course that borders Edgewater Park, beginning at Edgewater Beach and heading west to the piers and back.
    Price: $25 ($35 with board rental). Registration includes official race t-shirt.

    Sunday, September 13  |  11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
    Open, One Design Time Trial Race
    Course: 3/4 mile buoy course, beginning at Edgewater Beach
    Price: $10 for 1st run, $5 for each additional run
